About the Role
As a Demand Planner at Grand & Toy, you’ll sit at the intersection of data, operations, and customer experience. Your mission will be to turn complex demand signals across tens of thousands of SKUs into clear, actionable forecasts and replenishment plans that keep our largest customers in stock, without tying up unnecessary inventory.
You’ll spend your time deep in the numbers, building and refining forecasts, tracking trends, and adjusting plans as business needs change. At the same time, you’ll be a key collaborator, working with multiple internal teams and our vendor partners to align on demand, solve problems quickly, and keep programs running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Own demand planning & forecasting for a large, complex portfolio of customer‑specific and general line SKUs (tens of thousands), ensuring accurate, data‑driven forecasts that support service and financial targets.
- Plan and execute inventory and replenishment strategies that balance product availability, inventory turns, and profitability, while proactively managing high‑risk and aged inventory.
- Manage imports and cross‑border flows, partnering with our broker and carriers to support reliable, cost‑effective delivery as part of the overall demand plan.
- Analyze performance and trends across SKUs, programs, and customers to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement ideas, turning insights into clear action plans.
- Collaborate closely with internal partners and vendors to align on forecasts, orders, program changes, and cost impacts.
- Continuously refine processes, tools, and ways of working to improve forecast accuracy, operational efficiency, and cross‑functional communication.
Who You Are
- Demand & Inventory Planner – Experienced in demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management in a B2B environment, ideally with exposure to customer‑specific or proprietary programs and cross-border imports.
- Analytical & Data‑Driven – an excel expert comfortable working with large data sets, trends, and productivity metrics to build forecasts, identify risks/opportunities, and make recommendations that drive results.
- Business and Financially savvy – Understands category profitability, cost structures, recoverable costs, and pricing levers, with a focus on improving margin, inventory turns, and ROI.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Partner – Skilled at building strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams, aligning on forecasts, plans, and execution to support customer needs.
- Strategic Problem Solver – Able to connect market trends, customer requirements, and operational realities to design effective distribution and inventory strategies.
- Strong Communicator & Influencer – Clear, concise, and credible in presenting strategies, plans, and insights to cross‑functional partners and stakeholders.
- Continuous Improver – Motivated to refine processes, tools, and ways of working to increase efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration.
